Battle Creek Falls

As Spring begins to show its colors, my outdoor activities continue to increase. Last Thursday we had the day off of school, so we decided to celebrate by driving up to Pleasant Grove and returned to Battle Creek. This was my third time there. Garrett and I got a pretty good group together, consisting of 3 boys and 6 girls.

We reached the falls quickly enough, but we chose to continue hiking a little farther. We hiked about a half mile past the falls and enjoyed the new experience. Like so many outdoor adventures that I go on, I find myself reflecting on the beauty and majesty of what I find. I enjoyed this hike very much. It was a wonderful moment to break away from the stresses of life and look upon the wondrous creations of God.

I've been adding to my rock collection from my major hikes in Utah. I have now collected 4 in total. One from the top of Angel's Landing, one from the peak of Mount Timpanogos, one from Bridal Veil Falls, and today one from Battle Creek Falls. I hope to continue my collection as I explore the many adventures Utah has to offer.

On a side note, school is over in 5 days. I have 4 finals left and then summer begins.

Bridal Veil Falls

To celebrate the beginning of spring Garrett I and decided it was time to go on our first warm hike of the year. I was gone most of the morning out to breakfast with a friend. The whole time we were eating I kept telling her how much I wanted to go hiking. As soon as I walked in the door of my apartment, Garrett looks at me and says, Kyle we need to go hiking. Apparently great minds think alike. So we packed up our stuff, and hit the road. We drove up Provo canyon and climbed to the base of Bridal Veil Falls. The water from the falls had cut a hole through the snow drift. I had a great time climbing under it, and being able to climb up the backside of the fall. See picture.
Anyways, it was a great way to get my mind off of things. I really ran up the trail most of the way. I was so tired that I fell asleep around 9 while watching a movie. Well enjoy the pictures.

Last week of school

School is almost over. And I couldnt be happier. This semester has been quite alot. I've never had a job durring college, so it was hard to manage every moment of my time to get things done. I cant wait for the summer. Alot of my friends are leaving, which is sad, but I'm excited to meet new people and see where that goes.

Next week are finals. And then its all over.
