One year later, I went back to Cascade Springs. It was a blast, as has been this entire weekend. It was a great drive up the mountain, and we all enjoyed a great time as we walked around and took fun pictures. Afterwords we all went to our friend Garrett Camon's house and enjoyed a Memorial Day BBQ. Everyone had a great time
I said the prayer on the food. I felt very thankful for the countless blessings I enjoy as a citzen of this nation, and the sacrifices of those that have defended the freedoms I love so much. I am thankful to my friends and family that dedicate their lives to the defense of the United States, and thank them from the bottom of my heart.
Its been a wonderful weekend, filled with new friends and adventures. I cant wait to see what happens next.

Yet again I have spent the weekend outside and doing what I love most, spending time with my friends. Garrett and I had been more or less planning this trip since school got out, but due to weather, we were only able to go this weekend.
Luckily though, I have made several new friends over the last couple weeks, and most of them decided to tag along with us on our trip. We packed up and headed up American Fork Canyon friday afternoon. We set up camp and the girls made us all some really yummy tin foil dinners. We spent the evening around the fire, enjoying one anothers company and strengthening our new friendships.
I got up just after 6 and spent the morning looking for more firewood and cooking breakfast for everyone. It was alot of fun. We broke camp and headed up to the Mount Timp Cave trail-head. It was a steep hike, climbing over 1000 feet up, but not very long in distance. We all had fun as we climbed toward the entrance of the caves. Once we arrived, we were assigned a guide and we entered the caves.
The caves were truly awe inspiring. There were thousands of beautiful rock formations carved out from the rock. I headed up the rear of the group the entire day, but it was special for me to go at my own pace, and look and ponder on the things I saw. It always amazes me how when I go on these trips, my testimony grows. They lead me to more fully see the reality of an Eternal Creator and Heavenly Father.
As the tour concluded, we all headed down the mountain and returned home. It was a wonderful trip. I made new friends, and became closer to those I already knew. Oh, and like always, I brought home a little rock from the caves.

Garrett Angela and I took a similar photo last year on one of our hikes in a lake. We thought it would be fun to do again.
This picture was photoshoped, The lake was actually a gross green color, so I changed it to mountain lake in Oregon.
